Gua Sha is the practice of using a tool to apply pressure and scrape the skin to relieve pain and tension. The name gua sha — pronounced gwahshah — comes from the Chinese word for scraping.
This facial massage stimulates the dermis to support collagen and elastin production, manipulates areas of tension to relax facial muscles, exponentially increases blood and aids lymphatic flow, releases congestion and toxicity, soothes sore eyes and skin and unlocks aching jaws and brow: resulting in a brighter, healthier, more radiant complexion.
The Gua Sha tool is approx. 2 1/2 inches long and 3 mm thick, size and color can vary. You will have:
- Younger looking skin
- Improved circulation
- Plumper, smoother skin
- Reduced appearance of wrinkles
- Increased hydration
